Outward is our
current work in progress title. It is an open world RPG where you can
play with your friends, either
online or in
splitscreen. However, if you are more of a lone wolf,
singleplayer is also an option.
In addition to exploration, survival will be an important aspect of Outward. Eating, drinking and finding shelter (camping) for the night will be part of your daily routine. Preparation ahead of dangerous situations could be the difference between life and death: cooking a good meal so you don't go hungry while exploring a dungeon, sharpening your blade and equipping your armor in order to engage mightier foes, and wearing adequate clothing to prevent freezing in cold environments.
Outward is not your average open world RPG, it's an
adventurer life simulator.
Note that even if we added a "realistic" layer to Outward, it is still taking place in a high fantasy universe with magic and exotic creatures.
